Butterflies and cuteness

On Saturday, I took Megan to Brookside Gardens to see the Butterfly exhibit. It was a giant greenhouse-like structure ith about a bazillion butterflies (not really - but lots!) flying all around. They were everywhere - on the benches, bushes, feeding stations, etc. So many that you had to make sure you weren't carrying any "hitchhikers" on the way out. They even had a staff person checking to make sure. I was a bit freaked that one would land on me, but even with that fear, it was pretty cool. Megan kept exclaiming "Bu-er-fies" and flapping her arms wildly. She had a good time.



We went with my friend, Ginny, and her two kids - Tommy and Mia. Tommy and Megan really have a good time playing together. So much so that we joke all the time that they're "boyfriend and girlfriend" - much to Rob's dismay!


So, after the butterflies we walked around the gardens a bit and I snapped this picture - which is quite possibly the Cutest Thing Ever.

Tommy was holding her hand so that she wouldn't get too close to the water. Ginny and I said that if they got married, we'd torture them with this picture at the Rehearsal Dinner.

The morning ended with lunch and games at Chuck E Cheese, and Megan had her first lollipop - one of the prizes she bought with tickets she won from playing games. She was completely worn out, but wouldn't fall asleep until she finished the whole thing. Seconds after she was done, she fell asleep still holding the stick. When she woke up at home the first thing she did was look for the lollipop and exclaim "All gone! More! Pop!"
